I started my career in the security industry over 31 years ago, originally as a door supervisor progressing to become an area manager for one of the largest door supervisor providers in the UK, managing my hometown of King's Lynn and West Norfolk.  As a motivated, entrepreneurial, and visionary man, I saw an opportunity to provide security to local companies in a professional and supportive way not currently being demonstrated. So in 2004, I launched Carter Security - a company with a local focus but with a vision to offer professional and reliable security solutions.

My vision led to dramatic growth in business and Carter Security soon became a reputable company both with licensing and the local constabulary. I have received citations and certificates of commendation from the police for the work undertaken by myself.

The Carter Security brand name is now recognised as a true leader within its field for standards, which in turn has successfully expanded the Carter Security client base from local to nationwide, with over 300 employees. 

I am an active member of various Pub Watch committees and offer security council to many local companies. I am an active charity supporter, providing free security to many events throughout the calendar year with my personal focus being the CHIPS charity.
