All of our security personnel have been thoroughly briefed on how the coronavirus pandemic has affected our working processes. We, like so many other industries, have had to adapt. Below lists some of the key government guidance specific to the security sector.
Plan for all scenarios
We will always work with our clients in creating a tailor-made security contract suited for their needs. This is even more pertinent in today's climate. It's hugely important for us to manage client expectations and be able to explain to both customers and members of the public what our role is.
Conduct a thorough risk assessment
We would always conduct a thorough risk assessment of any site before setting an arrangement in place. However, COVID-19 places its own unique threat to our security officers, and to everyone else and therefore we have needed to adapt. This includes providing handwashing facilities and hand sanitiser as well as PPE if deemed appropriate.
Make meeting virtual wherever possible
As a national company, we are used to working with remote management technology that enables us to touch base virtually with our team. When it comes to handovers, we can encourage security officers to do so over the phone and therefore reduce face-to-face meetings, and we can even do much of our training online as well via web chats or over web cameras.
Communicate messages effectively
We have always held pride in our communication, and this strength has equipped us in seamlessly move forwards throughout these difficult times when it comes communicating key messages to our security officers. We never subcontract, and that means we don't have the issue of having to reach out to temporary staff who may easily miss messages. Instead, our team know they are supported by everyone at Head Office and can get in touch with us over the phone, or via email, easily -- just as they always have been able to.
Ensure safety precautions are in place
Finally, it's important to consider all safety precautions, and in some settings, this might mean additional precautions such as screens, as well as PPE. We understand the risks of COVID-19 more than most, as our very own Nick Carter contracted the virus earlier this year. Therefore, we are equipped, trained and ready to safely provide an exemplary security service to any business, across a range of differing industries.
For more information on how we can work with you to provide a quality security service at your business during these unusual times, please don't hesitate to get in touch a member of our team.
