Gaining a SIA License
The first step would be gaining a SIA license, and this would give you the minimum requirement to be able to apply for a role with us. This gives you a comprehensive level of basic training, so you know what being a security officer really entails.
The duration of the training should take around 28 hours and the course may be delivered over four days or during weekends and/or evening sessions. We've set out the modules below so you can see the details of the course

Flexible working hours
Before embarking on a career in security, it's important to consider the change in lifestyle that becoming a security officer will demand. Evening and weekend hours are often a given and this means making sure that you have the time and lifestyle that can work within these constraints.
