Whilst most of you will no doubt be out and enjoying the heatwave over the coming week, for our security officers, there's no rest!
As a growing company, we're frequently taking on new contracts across the country -- everywhere from local businesses in Wisbech where our head office is based to London, Cambridge and Leeds! That means a real mix of contracts too, ranging from corporate security to security within the educational sector, and everything in-between. When the weather is this glorious, our busiest type of shift is arguably with our door supervisors, particularly those based in social establishments such as pubs and clubs.
Sunshine and security
It's British culture to find a delightful beer garden when the sun is shining and order a cold pint or a jug of Pimms. Bliss! For our security guards though, the work doesn't stop just because the sun is out! Quite the opposite! The sun brings with it its own unique challenges. Day drinking often leads to night drinking, and this can trigger rowdy crowds later in the evening that are looking to cause trouble, and it falls to door supervisors to maintain and/or restore order.
The role of a door supervisor
When you contract Carter Solutions and Services Limited door supervisors, you can rest assured that your staff and customers are protected, as well as any passers-by! We take great pride in the extensive training that our security team have, allowing you as a business owner to feel confident in knowing that the security guards we supply are honest, reliable, and highly competent, with a smart and professional appearance. We also never subcontract our staff, as this allows us to maintain the high level of security our clients expect, and all of our security officers hold an SIA license.
Ask for Angela
We would also like to remind you all of the 'Ask for Angela' scheme, something which all of our security officers at Carter Solutions and Services Limited are familiar with. For those unfamiliar with the campaign, the phrase 'ask for Angela' is a discreet code word that customers can give to staff or the security team if they feel unsafe or threatened at any point throughout their evening (or day for that matter). It allows the staff to provide a solution without drawing attention to the situation, whether that's calling the police, arranging for a taxi or letting the customer out of a back entrance to ensure they're no longer being bothered by another member of the public.
For more information on how we can provide a quality security service at your business, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We hope you enjoy the heatwave!
